name defines what we're all about -- encouraging those who are serving on
the mission field; whether home or foreign. We cannot all go, but
we can have a part in the lives of those who heeded God's call.
Missionary Encouragers was conceived
in the hearts of two people who had a real burden to be servants.
They prayed for missionaries; but prayer was not enough. They gave
personal resources to financially support several missionaries; but giving
was not enough. They visited missionaries to encourage them and bring
gifts; but visiting was not enough.
Everyone can receive
a blessing by doing something for missionaries.
What are examples
of items Missionary Encouragers needs?
Soap, shampoo, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, canned foods,
dry foods, socks, gloves, coloring books, crayons, etc.
Do you pick up items?
When possible, we can pick up items. Please call 616-392-8613 or 616-399-2340,
so arrangements can be made for pick up, if possible.
What type of items do you not accept?
Opened or partial containers of any items, items in bad repair, perishable
food items or clothing.
Who is missionary encouragers?
A group of people dedicated to providing encouraging words, useful items,
supportive and uplifting encouragement for missionaries and ministries,
domestic and internatinal.
Are you affiliated with any specific denomination?
Faith Christian Center in Holland, Michigan, is our home Church. Missionary
Encouragers is also affiliated with Faith Christian Fellowship International
and Anchor Bay Evangelistic International.
Can items be sent to the missionaries at my church?
Possibly. They must meet our criteria and be added to our list of missionaries
to encourage.
Do you take monetary donations?
Yes, any amount and U S currency only.
What are the monetary donations used for?
Primarily shipping and packaging expenses.
How much of the money received is sent to missionaries/ministries?
Missionary Encouragers does not send money to missionaries. Our mission
is to encourage missionaries/ministries by sending encouraging cards,
letters, e-mails, and packaged items.
Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes, for donated items you must fill out a form. For cash donations you
will
receive a receipt from our accountant at the end of the year.
Will you ship my pre-packed boxes to a missionary?
No, under no circumstance will pre-packed boxes/packages be sent by Missionary
Encouargers. We can not be in a position of accepting liability for what
someone else may place in a container.
